Feature request: Generate Insert Statements from Sample Population

    Hello everybody,

not sure whether this is on the roadmap, but what do you think of NORMA generating SQL insert statements from the sample population? It could be of great help to developers looking to get a QA database up and running.

On a related note: would it be outside of reasonable scope for NORMA to be generating test data? For example, some typical names and addresses. Or even meaningless strings and numbers.

    Cheers,

    Katya

    Hi Katya

Thanks for the sugegstion to generate a sample database from the sample data in an ORM model.  This has been on our list of to-dos for quite some time. In addition, we plan to let you enter counterexamples, and use that to automatically generate tests to check whether the relevant constraints are mapped correctly to the database implementation.

    Cheers

    Terry
