     Hi Jim,

I have sent you a link from where you can download a recent build of NORMA for VS2017.

    Hope this helps.

    Jim,

As I mentioned in my email, I suggest that you re-orient by going through the NORMA Tutorials that you can download from the library.

Since you have successfully installed NORMA, you should proceed as follows :

    Start Visual Studio.

Start NORMA by:   File>New>File then scroll down to  "Object Role Modeling File" and click on it.

Right click on the drawing surface and choose  ORM Tool windows> ORM Fact Editor.

Enter a new fact type into the fact editor such as Student(.nr) lives at Address(.nr) - Then press Ctrl Enter and you fact type will appear on  the drawing surface.

Right click on one of the role boxes and choose a uniqueness constraint.

Right click on the drawing surface and choose  ORM Tool windows> ORM Verbalization Browser.
Then, when you click on one of the items on the drawing surface, you will see the verbalization such as:

    Student lives at Address.
Each Student lives at at most one Address.
It is possible that more than one Student lives at the same Address.

Play around with the constraints and the verbalization with change.

    Hope this helps

    Ken

     Awesome!

By "it" I assume that you mean "NORMA for Visual Studio 2008?

Visual Studio 2017 is late, but Visual Studio 2019 is right on time.

    1. To install, open the extensions dialog (Tools/Extension and Updates in 2017, Extensions/Manage Extensions in 2019)
    2. Click on the Online node on the left in the dialog.
    3. Search for NORMA
    4. Download and install the Natural ORM Architect extension as directed by Visual Studio.
The extension is published by ORM Solutions and digitally signed by ORM Solutions, LLC.

This integration with the Visual Studio Marketplace is meant to provide a much more natural NORMA integration and upgrade experience moving forward. Q&A is integrated in the marketplace. Issues and pull requests can be raised at https://github.com/ormsolutions/NORMA.

    Hi Matt,

Well done for publishing your "official" version of NORMA for Visual Studio 2019.

Unfortunately, your VS2019 version still has the same long list of unresolved bugs (40+)  that are still present in your VS2015 version and in earlier versions. Even worse, my tests show that your VS2019 version has also introduced new bugs that are not present in the your VS2015 version.

Some of the 40+ unresolved bugs were reported more than ten years ago.

Do you intend to fix the bugs in your VS2019 version?

    Ken
