Hi,
At some point, someone had mentioned that NHibernate (as well as other mapping frameworks), were being considered in future plans for the NORMA tool. At a recent developers meeting in my area, a presentation on NHibernate demonstrated some of the useful features of this framework. One of the developers in attendance mentioned a code ...

A model note is stored as text in the core model (inside the orm:ORMModel element in the xml file). However, the text for a value constraint in the core model is not even stored in string form. The string you see is rebuilt on the fly when it is first requested. Any additional formatting information would need to be stored with each individual ...

Folk, as promised, the Yahoo information_modeling mailing list is now also

I submitted a bug about an incomplete mapping to the relational model
some weeks back, together with the ORM model that caused it. It seems
like a serious error to have elements in the ORM that don't appear in any
form in the SQL, yet I've had no indication that anyone's thought about
looking for it... issues with the displayed shape of value ...

I thought I remembered someone (Matthew perhaps?) saying how it
was possible to get the ER view of an ORM diaram displayed, using
some incomplete/unreliable code that's not normally enabled. Do
I remember that wrongly, or is there a way?

Hi Scott,
When I first saw your post, I tried the trick (see: Tip for Model Notes, in tech forum), of using CNTRL-Enter to create line breaks when entering a model note, to try to do the same for a Value Constraint list. It didn't work, so I figured I'd wait to see what others would come up with. With all the responses, I'm sure something ...

Hi,
Where does the idea of abstraction layering fit into this? I'd think there are views where having the items enumerated is useful, others where just some indication that a value list exists. Looking at the boundaries in degree and scale, there will be instances where there can be no practical way to show all the items in a list on the model ...

When you have a role selected, there should be a ValueRange entry listed in the Properties window, through which you can enter the value constraint.

While on this subject, how do you create a role value constraint in NORMA?
