  • RE: Any way to do multi-page ORM diagrams yet

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. Just tried the feature and I can get new pages - great! Tried to rename or delete a new page, but the options are greyed out. Having two new pages named ORMnewpage is less than optimal, any way to activate the change name and delete page options yet? None the less, thanks for adding the multi page feature, as ...

  • RE: Any way to do multi-page ORM diagrams yet?

Yes, it it possible to add additional pages to your model. At the bottom of the diagram, there should be a gray bar. At the left side of this bar will be a tab for the current page, which will have the ''ORM'' in red and the name of the page. If you right click in this area (either on the tab or the bar), you should be able to choose ''New Page'' ...

  • Sample Population Editor

Hi, Thanks for implementing the Sample Population Editor. I've experimented with it some and it looks promissing. Haven't figured out yet if, or how, it ''suggests'' proper constraint application, but I do see some errors if the sample poulation doesn't match the constraint. Adding some documentation on the use of features not covered in the ...

  • Any way to do multi-page ORM diagrams yet?

Hi, Though I thought I could do multi-page ORM diagrams in an earlier release; I must be recalling that feature in InfoModeler. Is there a way to work with multiple design pages in a single ORM file? Even with the improved symbols, a single page can get very cluttered in a hurry. The multi-page option in InfoModeler was very good for ...

  • Extension Manager

Hi, I stumbled across the Extension Manager and see three unchecked extensions. What are they for? Any use in loading them for working with NORMA? What else beside loading them would I have to do you use them? Thanks. BRN..

  • RE: Object Properties?

Hi, Glad you got something out of the reply. I'm not sure if you can add a context menu item (right click option), to the ORM diagram pane; but I'm not that up on customizing the VS 2005 IDE. As there are a number of useful context items that the NORMA team has added (like adding an internal uniquness constraint to a selected role, or set of ...

  • RE: Is C# output required?

Are concrete classes supposed to be created by Norma to implement something like Patient.LoadAll? Or the only .cs files Abstract.PLiX.cs, Implementation.PLix.cs and Support.PLix.cs? I'm trying to create a class that can be used as a DataSource using NORMA_Lab1.ppt as an initial project. Thanks.

  • RE: Is C# output required?

From what I've seen from a -very- cursory glance at EasyObjects.net, it's an Object/Relational Mapping tool.... the ''other ORM''. So here's the deal: Object/Relational Mapping (O/R-M)takes an existing database and creates a data access layer. I'm sure you're well aware of this, since you use it! The key point, I think, is that an O/R-M tool ...

  • Is C# output required?

I'm using MyGeneration, ME Enterprise Library DAAB and EasyObjects to generate sql queries and C# Objects directly from the Norma designed database. It isn't clear what advantage EasyObjects or C# from Norma have over each other. Any guidance is welcome.
