• Relational View crashes in VS 2010

Using a slightly-modified version of the IT Management model (available on the ORM site), I added a Relational View. This view is quite messy, so I am moving around the tables and renaming a few of the relationships to make table names shorter. I find that after about 5 moves of tables, Visual Studio crashes. It has happened about five times. ...

• Re: Install for VSTS 2010

Matt, I checked with the Visual Studio develop team about the unresolved issues with VSTS 2010 in your ReadMe file. Here is their response: About 1, this is not something we experience with the DSL Tools produced designers. I suspect that there might be some custom code for the multi-view that would not be fully compliant with the Visual Studio ...

• How to post a model

I wanted to post a model of "IT Management", but do not have permission to upload files. Can you give pointers about the mechanism for contributing to this forum that would include:where to put the file how to upload the filehow to link to that file from the forum posting

• Install for VSTS 2010

Matt, I notice that the installation of NORMA build 1464 went very quickly. Thank you. However, the Programs and Features control panel still shows "Natural ORM Architect for Visual Studio 2008" after the install for 2010. Is this a problem, a fluke, and oversight, or something that I should ignore? - Jim

• Re: new NORMA for Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate

The new release (two days old) installed very quickly today into VSTS 2010. Now I can uninstall my old VSTS version, which I used only for NORMA. Thanks!

• XMI as possible output from nORMa

What are the constraints or possibilities for an XMI (OMG model metadata standard) output or XMI export extension from NORMA? [Or is XMI already available?} My employer seems bent on UML modeling and having a model repository based on XMI. I'm a bit skeptical, having explored UML data modeling a few years back. My recollection ...
• Integration with Visual Studio

What integration does (or will soon) NORMA provide to other parts of Visual Studio? I'm thinking of the following: Team Foundation Server Source Library Visual differences between versions stored in TFS source library Identification of individual ORM objects from the rest of Visual Studio Link to ORM role or object from a Visual ...

• Re: Graphic alignment feature

Ah, yes. I have been doing that for quite a while. But I'm trying to select only a single role, rather than the entire set of roles. The lasso function appears to work only with complete icons - e.g. both roles in a binary fact type - while I wish to select only one of the roles.
• Re: Removing an editor from startup

I checked through the .XML files that are part of the installed application, thinking that was where the list of reference modes would be. No luck, but I see that is on your list to make that configurable. Thanks :) I'll wait.
• Removing an editor from startup

How would I prevent NORMA from displaying the (for instance) ORM Reference Mode Editor whenever I startup NORMA? (It seems like there must be some configuration file that I could edit.) I would always be able to right-click on the diagram and select the editor after startup if I really wanted to use it. Somewhat related question: I always use .ID ...
