    Latest version of Tutorials

I see some tutorials on the Souceforge website. They all appear to have a date of 7/1/2009. I see other tutorials listed on the ORMfoundation website, most with later dates. To get the latest do we get them from ORMfoundation and ignore what is posted on Sourceforge? If so, why not remove them from Sourceforge and add a link to ORMfoundation.net to get the latest versions? I just want to know where to refer my students to get the latest versions of the tutorials. -gord.e.

    Gordon,

Yes, the latest tutorials are on this site.
And I agree with you that partial duplication is not a good idea.
However, only Terry & Matt have access to the Sourceforge account so I suggest that you ask Terry directly.

Re: Latest version of NORMA Tutorial 1 - Updated 1 September 2016

Trying to download this and my Mac says it cannot decompress the ZIP file

Attempting alternates between .ZIP and .CPGZ (a new one to me).

My apologies, but I have forgotten how to generate the DDL!

     Hi Jim,

I have replaced the corrupted zip file with a standard ppt file.

Please confirm that you can read the new file.

Minor bug... the ORM Verbalization browser now displays slightly different text than what is in Tutorial 1 in slides 22-24. Things like "For Each" are replaced with "some" and I think one or two other minor differences. It does not detract from understandability of either the tutorial or the product, but I suppose non-native speakers or people who need to have everything 100% accurate/reproducible might be confused/waste time on these minor differences.

     Hi Jeff

Which file do you mean by "Tutorial 1"?

If you mean NORMA Lab 1 (which I updated on 2016 August 31), then slides 22-24 don't have any verbalization on them. Please clarify.

     Cheers

    Terry

    Re: Latest version of Tutorials

     Hi Terry,

Jeff is indeed referring to Lab 1 (I named the folder "Tutorial" but kept the original file name)

I just checked and found that in my update of last September I must have used the old Lab 1 file.

A few minutes ago, I corrected this mistake by uploading the file that you sent last year.

    Mea Culpa

    Ken
