    Terry Halpin Tutorial - 21 October - Oregon

    Terry Halpin will be giving a tutorial on 21st October at the DMZ event in Oregon

    Learn how to exploit fact orientation to facilitate modeling of information systems as we achieve these objectives:

    • Understand the underlying principles and benefits of fact orientation
    • Appreciate the expressive power of fact oriented graphical and textual languages
    • Contrast and compare fact-orientation with other approaches such as ER and UML
    • Utilize modeling procedures of fact orientation (e.g. validation by verbalization and population)
    • Exploit the semantic stability of fact orientation to facilitate schema and system evolution
    • Gain familiarity with the latest advances in fact orientation
    • Exploit fact-oriented design patterns for collection types and temporal aspects of modeling
