    Requirements Help

Hi, I used ORM with InfoModeler some time ago. I am looking to see where it is today and would like to reduce my cost. Will Visual Studio 2005 Standard support the NORMA plug-in? If so, can I use any database that supports ODBC? I develop in Firebird RDBMS using RealBasic. TIA!

    Re: Requirements Help

As you may know, InfoModeler was discontinued well over ten years ago.
Some but not all of the InfoModeler features are available in NORMA.
You can download the NORMA version for Visual Studio 2005 standard or above from the Library (Library>Tools>NORMA - The Software!)

NORMA generates DDL for a range of databases - follow the guidelines in Tutorial 1 and you will see the options.
NORMA can reverse engineer from SQL Server and MySQL.

    Hope this helps

    Ken
