• Re: Literature

The literature forum is a good idea. What name would you suggest for the Forum? Regarding Terry's new book, the "April" date is based on what we have been told by the publisher. Amazon UK is also saying April. You seem to be one of the lucky ones ! What do you think of having a Forum just to discuss Terry's new book?

  • Re: For Visual Studio Express

Hi Olgachu, It is my understanding that in its current form, the NORMA tool will only function with at least MS Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition. NORMA cannot work with any of the Express Editions because MS Visual Studio versions below 'Standard' don't include the functionality that the NORMA ...

  • Re: Open Letters

Hi Victor, Thanks for your post. If you want to start a discussion about a specific document in the Library, I suggest that you post a question in a Forum that relates to the topic. If the topic you want is not already there, then its best to request a new topic by name. My concept in creating the Forum categories is to help ...

  • RE: C# Code Generation

I had a similar experience to John. Six facts with three objects generates two simple tables but 4400+ lines of very hard to follow C#. What I expected to see were a few class structures that relate to the tables. If one unary fact creates 1600 lines of C# and six binary facts create 4400 lines of C# It looks as though one binary fact ...

  • RE: Documentation and How-To

Christian, If you have installed NORMA properly, you should have a file called: VerbalizationGenerator.xml ''somewhere'' on your system. It will be visible in Visual Studio 2005's ''Solution Explorer''. In Solution Explorer, the ''ORMPackage'' has 3 projects named : ExtensionExample ORMModel SatDLL If you expand ORMModel ...

  • RE: Documentation and How-To

Christian, I think ''the xml file'' you are looking for is called ''VerbalizationGenerator.xml'' You should find this file in: ~ \ORMModel\ObjectModel\VerbalizationGenerator.xml

  • RE: Feature Requests - "Denormalised ORM"

Hi Jake, I have had no luck in uploading my very pretty file complete with ORM Schema, Logical Schema and Fact report. The best I can do is to show you the DDL. Here it is for SQL Server. Hope this helps. Ken /* This SQL DDL script was generated by Microsoft Visual Studio. */ /* Driver Used : Microsoft Visual Studio - Microsoft ...

  • RE: Feature Requests - "Denormalised ORM"

Jake, I have created an example for you. However, my attempts to upload the example to the ''feature requests'' section of this forum have been met with the response ''error'' and no explanation. Any suggestions? Ken
