  • RE: A Reading is Required.

Brian- Good catch. In our case, we only care if it is a nonprofit for that fact. Another example: person isdeceased. To duplicate this error at home, try making a single unary on a new document and then generate a build. I have webspace avail... I would be willing to host files... not sure how to implement off the top of my head... I ...

  • RE: A Reading is Required.

This is a bug having to do with unaries in the orginal ORM diagram, and I will be reporting it as such. Until then, here is why the OIAL to DCIL bombs out. #error Exception occurred while executing transform 'OIALtoDCIL'. The existing contents of 'ORMModel1.DCIL.xml' will not be modified. // System.ArgumentNullException // Value cannot be ...

  • A Reading is Required.

I have a bunch of these errors on the MyModel.CoRef.orm diagram when I am trying to generate a build. These errors are on the generated CoRef.orm diagram. For example, '' At least one reading is required for fact type 'OrganizationOrganization_isnonprofit' in model ''. ORMModel1.CoRef.orm '' OK... I am confused. What more can I give it ...

  • RE: Generating a Build or what process is cal

Kevin- Thanks again for the fast reply... I was able to clean up a lot of errors by naming roles. I stumbled into another problem, but will start a new thread. Brian- Thanks for the heads up on the DDL... we might have some code to assist on clean up stuff, but that's not for today.

Interesting. I have a External ValueType that is an independent and has three value constraints. Why does that work and the other two do not?? Next problem: There is a duplicate key sequence 'Person' roleSequenceUniquenessConstraint name=''PersonIsRelatedToPerson'' <oil:roleSequence> <oil:typeRef ...

in the middle of troubleshooting these problems... decided to capture work flow for ya... possible requirements/UI features... Error Message tells me what row is incorrect in the OIAL.XML file. I dbl click and I find the row. A couple of rows above that I see the singleRoleUniquenessConstraint name... Now I want to find the constraint in ...

  • Generating a Build or what process is called

Trying to clean up a substantial model and running into errors on the OIAL.xml file. Did not get these errors when we compiled using Jan CTP. Now using March CTP against same model. (Aside note for documentation: Need some verbage that says if end product *.sql from build process fails, start looking at why by first clicking on the OIAL file ...

  • RE: Need a working .csproj file for generatio

Brian- You're right there appears to be a lot that can be done with this tool already, but at some point there needs to be a production tool of some sorts. We switched over from Visio EA to NORMA. I am a ORM fan as well due to the influence of Prof. Everest at the University of Minnesota. We have similar interests as I am fascinated by ...

  • RE: Need a working .csproj file for generatio

Brian- We certainly will consider that for future versions. We are just at a milestone with our contact db design, so we need to finish what we started. What we haven't started to model is donations.... that will probably be our next project. I did follow your recommendation...the upgrade to the lastest CTP went smooth and the solution ...

Kevin- Thanks for the fast response last night.... it was perfect timing. Awesome. Brian- I hadn't noticed the documentation downloads before.... so I will be sure to check them out. Both- Currently using NORMA to design a startup nonprofit so we are beginning to put the tool through the paces. I've been lurking on this board ...
