• 'Select on Diagram' from Context Window

Here's a bell (or whistle) that would make naviagtion easier in a big model: From the Context Window, I would like to select a Fact Type, right-click, and 'Select on Diagram'. This feature is available from the Model Brower and from a Page window for both Fact and Object types. It should not be terribly hard to implement .

  • Context Window inconsistent and crashes

I really like the context window, because it shows the full context, not just what is in my current page. I cannot consistently get the context window to display the selected object. I select the object in the ORM Model Browser or in the diagram, doesn't matter. When I select an object, the context window does not change. I closed VS ...

  • Delete Reading does not

I have a ternary relationship with three readings. I wish to delete one of them. I select the reading, right-click, and choose <Delete Reading>. Nothing happens.

  • Relational View crash

I add Relational view as an Extension, thru the extension manager. I get an 'Assertion Failed: Abort' message - for which I have a picture. Pressing <Ignore> then gives a Visual Studio error that an "Index was outside the bounds of the array." and my model is closed (but VSTS keeps running. If I <Abort>, then ...

  • Re: XML schema

Hmmm. Not so easy. Access finds the XSD and creates many tables, but with no foreign keys. I cannot connect an Object to its Note or Informal Definition. Is that evidence of my near-total ignorance of XML?

  • Re: XML schema

Whoop dee doo. Got it to work. Moreover, I found the XSD files on my computer (with your help), located at: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Neumont\ORM\Schemas Now I should be able to import to Access easily. We'll see.

  • Re: XML schema

Matt, These instructions appear to be really helpful. However, I'm too naive for this answer. When I open the ORM file in VS, I only get the diagrams - even if I rename the file to be .XML. When I open the XML-named file in Internet Explorer I can see the raw XML, but cannot go to the definition. If I try to navigate to ...

  • XML schema

I'm trying to extract the entity objects and their 'informal' definitions. The standard report does not distinguish value type from entity type from facts in the top-level HTML report. I also tried to import the ORM file into Excel (without benefit of the schema). I got tons of data, but cannot find an XML element that appears ...

  • Reporting Object Types

How would I extract, export, or report all the Object Types in a given model, together with their 'informal definitions' (and other properties) into a rich text form?

  • Disappearing Notes

I navigated to a page (tab) in my model. No icon was selected. I typed notes into the ORM Notes Editor. Thought I had expressed a good statement about the entire page. Navigated away from this and returned to check my notes. GONE! Or at least not visible. Is this a bug or a 'feature'?
